Dr. Cherrie Laygo, DAOM, L.Ac.
Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine • Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist • Licensed Massage Therapist

Dr. Cherrie Laygo is a California Board–licensed and NCCAOM-certified Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist, as well as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began through personal healing experiences and evolved naturally from her long-standing career in medical massage therapy.

She earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA, where she also served on the teaching faculty in the Master’s program. She holds a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Laygo’s passion is the promotion of wellness and longevity—not only extending life but improving its quality. In today’s fast-paced world, she views longevity as both an attainable goal and an ongoing practice. Her mission is to help patients enhance physical, emotional, and spiritual health so that long life is matched by vibrant living.

Her integrative treatments draw from the full spectrum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Electro-Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion, Gua Sha, and Medical Massage Therapy. She is a general practitioner with a special focus on women’s health, pain and musculoskeletal conditions, insomnia, anxiety, emotional wellness, and digestive disorders.

After nearly six years in Los Angeles, Dr. Laygo and her family returned to New York City, where she now practices in Midtown Manhattan and teaches the Gynecology course in the Master’s program at Pacific College of Health and Science.

As a TCM practitioner, Dr. Laygo’s goal is to unite the best of Eastern and Western medicine—providing corrective and preventive care that helps patients achieve true balance, optimal health, and lasting vitality.
